After selling out tickets last year, a new edition full of history, culture and comedy of the Tunnel of Time returns to the Palacio de Velarde.
On October 10, 11 and 12 , the boundaries between yesterday and today will be blurred between the walls of our Palace and characters from other eras will appear in the 21st century. Nobles, inquisitors, servants and spies from other centuries completely disoriented, who will have to face a reality they do not understand… and that, in many cases, they find it more absurd than theirs.
Throughout this dramatized tour of the Palacio de Velarde, history is mixed with comedy, and what begins as a cultural tour is transformed into an immersive and unforgettable experience where you will not only witness the arrival of these characters, but you will also have to interact with them and help them understand the current world and return to their time.
A theatrical show in Santillana del Mar suitable for all audiences
The Time Tunnel is a different proposal: a theatrical comedy that uses satire, parody and humour to explore the contradictions between the past and the present. Through scenes represented in different spaces of the palace, the actors interpret the anachronisms of modern life from the perspective of those who lived centuries ago.
What will an eighteenth-century lady think about our current customs? How would an inquisitor react to knowing the internet? And what will a spy of the twentieth century think of our social networks? These questions are answered unexpectedly in each pass of this experience.
The performance takes place in different rooms of the Palacio de Velarde, which provides a real and spectacular context to the plot. The setting, costumes and environment contribute to creating an immersive atmosphere that will transport you through time.
A renewed and even more surprising proposal that in this edition will have more characters, new situations, improvements in the staging and a revised script that incorporates historical and current elements, always from humor and entertainment.
