ACCESSIBILITY

We inform our visitors that the palace is not adapted for wheelchair circulation, as it has stairs to access the different floors. This architectural barrier has not been able to be resolved due to the heritage protection of this building that prevents a solution to this physical barrier.

How long does the visit last?

The audiovisuals on the ground and first floors have a duration of 20 minutes. Approximately, on the following floors, as it is a free visit, you can add the time you need.

Can I enter with my pet?

We have a garden area, set up for your dogs, where they can wait, with water and shade, however if you can carry your pet in your arms, it will be more than welcome.

Is the content adapted for all audiences?

Yes, from the smallest to the largest will be able to enjoy this wonderful experience.

Is it scary?

The ghosts of the Velarde Palace are its former inhabitants, they are represented with different audiovisual techniques so that they can meet them in their own home. a great display of technical means, actors, dubbers, sound and lighting until these illustrious characters can be introduced into their own rooms. Can I access it with a baby chair/stroller?

The palace is not adapted for the circulation of chairs, since it has stairs to access its different floors.

In the free visit areas it is allowed to take photos and videos

Is it translated into different languages?

The audiovisual content is in Spanish, but our guides can translate said content.

Can I pay with card?

Yes, we accept payments in cash, card and through our website.

Is it necessary to reserve?

Usually it is not necessary, since the passes are every 15 minutes. approximately, but on dates with greater influx of visitors we recommend booking your ticket through our website.

What is the maximum number of people per group?

To guarantee the best experience during the visit, the maximum number of people per group is 25.

Where is it accessed?

The Velarde Palace is located in the Plaza de las Arenas, this square is located just behind the collegiate church of Santillana del Mar. You will find the palace without any problem, since its façade is imposing…you can’t miss it!
